The Kappa Sigma Chapter was established on July 28, 1936 in New York City by Sorors: Juliette Boykins, Alma Bailey, Alma Jeffries, Eunice Jackson, Clara Coleman Liddle, Beula Simpson Palmer, Augusta Strong North, Annabel Weston, and Fannie Cauldwell Williams.
Through their dedication to the Sorority's slogan 'Greater Service, Greater Progress', these ladies paved the way for the captivating Kappa Sigma Chapter with great leadership and love. Kappa Sigma continues to provide service for the sake of community progress.
Kappa Sigma is one of the oldest
continuously active alumnae chapters in the northeast region and continues to strive to be the ever driving force of progress and change in its community
